Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Appian Test Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of Appian-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, including test design, execution, and automation, with a focus on low-code platforms like Appian. This role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications that meet business and technical requirements. Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required.

Responsibilities:

    • Test Planning & Design:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for Appian applications.
    • Design and implement test scenarios to validate functionality, performance, and security of Appian applications.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
    • Manual & Automated Testing:
    • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for Appian-based solutions.
    • Identify opportunities to automate test cases and develop automated scripts using testing tools.
    • Ensure tests align with Agile development cycles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
    • Defect Management:
    • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
    • Work closely with developers to resolve issues and validate fixes.
    • Provide detailed defect reports and impact assessments for stakeholders.
    • Performance & Load Testing:
    • Conduct performance and load testing to assess the scalability and reliability of Appian applications.
    • Use appropriate tools and methodologies to simulate user activity and monitor system performance.
    • Compliance & Standards:
    • Ensure that testing aligns with organizational quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Validate that applications meet security and compliance requirements, such as data protection and privacy standards.
    • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
    • Communicate test results and progress to stakeholders through regular updates and presentations.
