We are seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to the quality and reliability of our next-generation UE5 game. As part of our QA team, you will be crucial in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, ensuring seamless gameplay, and supporting a robust and scalable gaming experience. Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain reusable and scalable automation frameworks tailored for MMORPG environments.
  • Test core game mechanics such as quests, combat, and player progression.
  • Ensure stability of server-client interactions in multiplayer scenarios.
  • Validate graphical and audio consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize automated test suites.
  • Analyze and report results, identifying areas for improvement in game quality.
  • Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Simulate high-concurrency scenarios typical of MMORPGs.
  • Analyze server and client performance under load, ensuring smooth gameplay.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in automation tools and testing practices.
  • Implement strategies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and creators.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior QA members on automation practices.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation in game development, desktops, and consoles are preferred.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Unreal Engine Automation Framework, Unity Test Framework).
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python and Unreal Blueprints
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with AI behavior tree testing and pathfinding algorithms.
  • Application monitoring software like Sentry, Β New Relic, and Better Stack.
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of C++ language.
  • Understanding of multiplayer testing frameworks and load simulation tools (e.g., Unreal Engine Performance and Profiling tools, NVIDIA CUDA Profiling Tools).
  • Knowledge of ISTQB standards, Β such as:
    • ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL).
    • ISTQB Advanced Level: Test Automation Engineering (CTAL-TAE).
    • ISTQB Specialist Level: Game Testing (CT-GaMe).
