Automation Test Lead - Playwright

We are looking for an Automation Test Lead to join us on a contract basis, with an immediate start. 

The opportunity:

Automation Test Lead needed to join us immediately , where you will be working with a major worldwide sports brand.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and execute a robust automation testing strategy using Playwright and Typescript, focusing on both API and UI testing for a high-profile sports brand's digital platforms.
• Implement and maintain automated test scripts for functional, API, and regression testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of user journeys and backend processes.
• Champion accessibility testing, ensuring the platform meets industry standards and provides an inclusive experience for all users.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to understand requirements, communicate testing progress, and manage expectations. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members on automation best practices using Playwright and Typescript.

What we want from you:

• Proven experience leading or mentoring an automation team.
• Strong proficiency in Playwright and Typescript.
• Extensive experience in API and UI testing.
• Demonstrated experience in accessibility testing.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to define and implement effective automation strategies.
• Proficient in using version control systems like Git (Github, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.

If you know some of this, even better:

• Experience in the sports/retail sector.
• Experience working in scaled Agile environments (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing.
