WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Data Quality Assurance

o   Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies to validate data pipelines and products.

o   Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through rigorous testing practices.

o   Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with the data engineering team.

• SQL-Based Testing

o   Write complex SQL queries to validate datasets, transformations, and business rules.

o   Automate SQL-based test cases to ensure consistency and scalability of validation processes.

• Test Automation

o   Develop automated testing frameworks to streamline data quality checks and validations together with Data Engineers.

o   Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.

o   Leverage tools and libraries for test automation, ensuring reusable and maintainable solutions.

• Static Code Analysis and Code Quality

o   Implement and manage SonarQube or similar tools to perform static code analysis on data engineering codebases.

o   Define and enforce code quality metrics such as maintainability, security, and reliability.

o   Collaborate with the development team to fix identified issues and improve overall code quality.

• Collaboration and Documentation

o   Work closely with data engineers and DevOps teams to embed quality controls in data pipelines.

o   Document test cases, results, and best practices for maintaining high data quality standards.

o   Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to stakeholders effectively.

• Independent Execution

o   Take ownership of QA processes, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of data products.

o   Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing methodologies and automation efficiency.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

• Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and quality checks.

• Hands-on experience with SonarQube or similar static code analysis tools.

• Familiarity with data pipeline technologies, particularly Apache Spark and Python.

• Experience with Big Data platforms (e.g., Databricks).

• Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and precision in data validation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Github Actions).

Nice to have:

• Certifications in QA or data-related fields (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Data Management Professional).

• Expertise with business domain: charging, trip calculation and overall car signals (sensor data).
