Job Description:

As a Mid-level QA Engineer, you’ll leverage cutting-edge automation tools to ensure top-tier quality and efficiency in products that make waves in the financial sector. Collaborating closely with product teams, you’ll deliver vital features and guide junior members, all while making a global impact from the comfort of your home.

• Leverage the latest test automation technologies to ensure comprehensive code coverage for existing and new products.
  
• Collaborate with the product team to iterate on designs and user experience flows.
  
• Work as part of an independent, cross-functional squad to deliver critical client-facing and admin portal features across the organization.
  
• Develop test automation that promotes engineering maturity and efficiency.
  
• Mentor and guide junior team members, helping them gain proficiency and skill (this is not a management position).
  

Requirements

The Skills That Make the Cut

Must-Haves:

• 7+ years of experience in test automation using multiple frameworks, with recent experience in modern paradigms like Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.
  
• Attention to detail and an understanding of what constitutes a good user experience.
  
• Experience in a Git-based development environment with standard work management tools.
  
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit: self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented in fast-paced environments.
  
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate.
  
• Solid programming fundamentals; this role focuses on test code development, not manual testing or occasional test scripting.
  
• Extensive experience with UI testing.
  
• Extensive experience with API testing.
  
• Ability to create and modify test cases.
  

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Zoom and/or MS Teams integration.
  
• Basic understanding of common AWS services (S3, CloudFront, etc.) and their applications to solve business problems.
  
• Familiarity with CI pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
  
• Experience with Playwright (preferred) and/or Cypress.
  
• Experience with Selenium and/or Rest Assured for maintaining existing tests.
  
• Familiarity with Typescript.
  
• Familiarity with Java and C#.
  
• Experience with mobile apps, particularly enterprise-focused apps primarily accessed via desktop browsers, with plans for increased mobile access in the future.
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
