QA Automation Engineer

We are a Swiss product company specializing in innovative digital platforms for the insurance domain. We’re looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic, full-stack team working on Organization Data Processing and Analytical Data Provisioning.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the QA process within the team, ensuring alignment with our company’s QA strategy. You’ll collaborate with developers, product owners, and team members to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our business goals and maintain user satisfaction.
This is a fully remote contractor role, limited to candidates based in Poland.

• Design, document, and maintain clear and consistent test cases for UI and API automation testing.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure functionality and performance meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to prioritize QA activities and plan seamless release flows.
• Operate, maintain, and enhance QA tools and automation frameworks, ensuring optimization of testing processes.
• Apply knowledge of client-server architecture and HTTP protocols, using browser debugging tools to test web applications.
• Take responsibility for identifying risks, managing impediments, and maintaining QA backlog quality.

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in black-box testing of UI or API applications, including basic experience with UI/API/E2E automation.
• Strong expertise in test design and documentation, with a proven ability to deliver clear, actionable test cases.
• Solid understanding of client-server architecture and data types, with hands-on experience in SQL for database testing and manipulation, as well as basic programming skills in any language.

Bonus Skills

• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing tools like Playwright.
• Practical experience using Postman for API testing.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership of quality assurance processes and adapt to a dynamic environment.
