Overview

We are looking for driven and enthusiastic people to work as a QA Automation Engineer I for Quorum.

A QA Automation Engineer I is expected to apply computer skills, analytical thinking to design, document, execute and report on quality testing of the Company’s software. A basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of testing and how to construct tests that exercise all key application features is required.

This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced agile environment.  Various aspects of testing theory, test automation, and the Quorum suite of products will be introduced by direct supervision. 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and API testing using Selenium, REST Sharp, and Postman to ensure software quality.
• Implement and maintain test frameworks for UI and API automation.
• Ensure test automation is effectively integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Write and execute API test cases using Postman and Newman for RESTful web services.
• Automate API tests using REST Sharp within test automation frameworks.
• Work with TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or other test frameworks for structured and maintainable automation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Report and track defects in JIRA or other test management tools.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain detailed test cases, automation scripts, and test execution reports.
• Identify and document software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Conduct basic performance testing for APIs using tools like JMeter.(Optional)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and automation frameworks
• Experience with programming languages like C#, Java or JavaScript
• 1-2 years of experience in automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with Java, C or Python.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, Newman, and REST Sharp.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile development environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills for reporting defects and working with developers

Additional Details

• Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
• Current professional card or registration in Colombia (if applicable): The successful candidate will be required to present their professional card or registration information if the role is deemed to be regulated.
