We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our dynamic team (ViewPoint) in EIU. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products through both manual testing and the development of automated test scripts. You will work closely with developers and product managers to deliver high-quality, reliable software that meets user expectations.

How you will contribute in this role:

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing

  • Perform manual testing for complex applications, identifying defects and ensuring high-quality standards
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies to stay aligned with the development process
  • Report test results and defects clearly and consistently using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Provide feedback on system design, functionality, and usability
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of testing strategies and frameworks
  • Analyse test results, perform root cause analysis, and participate in troubleshooting
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging testing technologies and methodologies to support defining ways to improve testing and quality processes
  • You will work closely with EIUs Principal Quality Engineer

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in a similar software testing role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You have experience of boundary value analysis and equivalence partition testing
  • You have experience of Risk based testing
  • You have experience of Defect management
  • You have experience in Test automation, with a basic understanding of Web UI Automation
  • You have an understanding of the Test pyramid
  • You have basic programming experience with experience working with version control systems such as Git

Nice to have skills for this role include:

  • You have basic understanding of PlayWright with JavaScript
  • You have basic understanding of cloud infrastructure
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
