We are looking for a QA Engineer Automated Level 2 for one of our partners with the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 100% Remote, Work Location With-in the United States.

Services are expected to start 01/16/2025 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2025. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 1304 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.

The Software QA Analyst performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA division of IT (Information Technology). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.

This position will work with the project development teams to provide the following Software Testing Services:

  • Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
  • Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
  • Perform manual testing and data validation
  • Perform advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
  • Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
  • Execute performance and accessibility testing
  • Review user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate applications or to improve existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the project team for sprint/release work on tasks such as providing testing effort estimates, resolving defects or issues and providing status on work assignments or issues.

The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the Texas Education Agency.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience testing complex Web Applications
  • 7 years of experience testing all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 3 years of experience working with Database/SQL Language
  • 2 years of experience with XML, JSON, and API Testing
  • 2 years of experience in Automation Testing

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in API testing (SOAP and REST)
  • 1 year of experience with test automation using open-source technologies and/or in-house frameworks
  • 1 year of experience with test frameworks like Junit and TestNG
  • 1 year of experience with WAPT Pro, JMeter, or other performance testing tools
  • 1 year of previous experience with Zypher Scale
  • 1 year of previous experience with Jira
