QA Engineer

We invite you to join the fast-moving and hard-working team at NinjaTech AI as a QA Engineer / Manual tester (contract; possibility of full-time hire)

Our agentic AI platform (B2C and B2B) is capable of planning and completing tasks. We have a rapidly evolving UI with new features / AI models being added weekly. We are looking for a QA specialist who has experience with manually testing web- and mobile SaaS products.

NinjaTech AI is a GenAI startup with headquarters in Silicon Valley and offices in Sydney and Vancouver. Our unique SoTA approach allows us to leverage an assortment of LLMs to employ a mixture of agents to complete tasks (myNinja.ai is now ranking top in accuracy benchmarks!).

myNinja.ai was launched as a public Beta (https://myninja.ai/) in 2024 in partnership with AWS and Stanford Research Institute (the original home of Siri). myNinja.ai is a multi-agent AI, with over 2M+ monthly active users, as well as paid subscribers. Presently the team is developing a B2B side of our business to be launched for enterprise customers soon!

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are hiring an experienced, meticulous and detail-oriented QA Engineer / Manual tester at our Sydney office, centrally located in the Hyde park area. In this role, you will ensure the highest quality of our product and exceptional user experience.Β 

The QA tester will partner directly with our AI scientists, ML and Software Engineers to continuously test the product and its features as the team is experimenting with new large language- (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs). The QA Specialist will be joining NinjaTech’s QA team of 4 and will receive training and guidance.

This is a contractor position, hourly compensation is $30+ based on experience and qualifications. Flexible hours are available. Work on site at our office is required at least 3 days a week. We offer free meals and a great office environment!

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Our team of mostly ex-Google and ex-AWS executives and engineers has built a robust personal AI platform. We offer collaborative, iterative, and team-oriented work environment. Our velocity, scientific rigor, and engineering excellence are exceptional.

THE ROLE'S RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Test new features for bugs or technical issues, create / update Jira tickets accordingly and collaborate with developers to improve functionality and user experience.

  • Continuously test our AI platform on the web and mobile (UI, user onboarding, payments, AI agents performance, cross browser testing) and log technical issues and bugs in Jira

  • Perform comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure thorough coverage of product features and functionality as part of our continuous integration - continuous deployment cycle.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed reproduction steps and expected results

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 1 year of experience in manual testing, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment.

  2. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools, preferably JIRA and Qase.

  3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.

  5. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and user experience.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium).

  2. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., React, Python).

  3. Project management experience.
