ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are hiring an experienced, meticulous and detail-oriented QA Engineer / Manual tester at our Sydney office, centrally located in the Hyde park area. In this role, you will ensure the highest quality of our product and exceptional user experience.Β
The QA tester will partner directly with our AI scientists, ML and Software Engineers to continuously test the product and its features as the team is experimenting with new large language- (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs). The QA Specialist will be joining NinjaTechβs QA team of 4 and will receive training and guidance.
This is a contractor position, hourly compensation is $30+ based on experience and qualifications. Flexible hours are available. Work on site at our office is required at least 3 days a week. We offer free meals and a great office environment!

THE ROLE'S RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Test new features for bugs or technical issues, create / update Jira tickets accordingly and collaborate with developers to improve functionality and user experience.
Continuously test our AI platform on the web and mobile (UI, user onboarding, payments, AI agents performance, cross browser testing) and log technical issues and bugs in Jira
Perform comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure thorough coverage of product features and functionality as part of our continuous integration - continuous deployment cycle.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed reproduction steps and expected results
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 year of experience in manual testing, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment.
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools, preferably JIRA and Qase.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and user experience.
Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., React, Python).
Project management experience.
