About the Role
We’re seeking a QA Engineer with a primary focus on manual testing. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Product and Engineering teams to validate new features, uncover bugs, and ensure the overall stability of our platform. While the position currently emphasizes manual testing, you’ll have the opportunity to evolve into automation testing as our needs grow. We value logical reasoning, a product mindset, and the ability to handle pressure and multitask in a dynamic startup environment.
A unique aspect of this position is the ability to leverage Generative AI/LLM in day-to-day workβ€”whether it’s brainstorming test scenarios or assisting with efficient test documentation. If you’re keen to explore the future of QA and want to be part of a product-driven team, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Manual Test Planning & Execution
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and user stories.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests to validate software functionality.
  • Bug Identification & Reporting
  • Systematically track and report defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely fixes.
  • Follow up on issues and verify resolutions in subsequent releases.
  • Generative AI Integration
  • Leverage AI/LLM-based tools to enhance test-case creation, defect analysis, and overall testing efficiency.
  • Performance & Load Testing (Future Scope)
  • Assist the team in basic performance testing and gather metrics.
  • Learn and evolve your skill set to handle advanced performance or load testing as the product scales.
  • Foundations in Automation (Future Growth)
  • Get exposure to scripting and automation tools, with a view to move into test automation in the future.
  • Learn best practices and frameworks for building automated test suites.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Proactively refine QA processes and propose improvements for speed and quality of releases.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging tools in AI and testing domains.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver features on tight timelines.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly and effectively.

Who We’re Looking For
  • Experience & Background
  • Over 1 year of post-graduation work experience in QA (manual testing), preferably in a startup or product-based company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Core Skills
  • Strong Manual Testing Experience: Ability to create and execute test cases, log bugs, and manage test artifacts.
  • Exceptional Logical Reasoning: Adept at uncovering corner cases and thinking critically about user flows.
  • Product Mindset: Passion for understanding user needs and optimizing product quality.
  • Code Understanding: Comfortable reading through basic code or scripts to pinpoint issues (even if not actively writing automation yet).
  • Generative AI Familiarity: Experience or enthusiasm for using AI/LLM tools in testing processes.
  • Soft Skills
  • Adaptability: Able to handle pressure, juggle multiple priorities, and pivot when requirements change.
  • Strong Communication: Clear, concise, and proactive in reporting issues and sharing insights with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Nice to Have
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive Compensation: Market-leading salary and potential equity options.
  • Growth Opportunities: Learn and implement automation testing over time, while exploring cutting-edge AI/LLM technologies.
  • Team Culture: Enjoy free meals/beverages, weekly team outings, and a collaborative work environment.
  • Location: Bangalore (Koramangala 8th Block)
