Senior QA Engineer

Glowingbud is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in manual and automation testing, mobile app testing, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium with Java, Postman & Rest Assured, and a good understanding of performance and security testing. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications by collaborating with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, review, and execute test cases, test plans, and test strategies for Web (Angular) and mobile applications (iOS & Android).

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, usability, and compatibility testing on different devices and platforms.

• Identify, log, and track bugs in bug-tracking tools like JIRA.

• Create and maintain test reports, defect logs, and QA documentation.

• Use test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr for tracking and reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for mobile apps, APIs, and UI components.

• Develop and maintain UI automation test scripts using Selenium with Java

• Design and implement API automation using Rest Assured.

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).

• Improve existing test automation frameworks and optimize test execution.

• Perform manual API testing using Postman.

• Validate API request/response, authentication, and data flow between microservices.

• Conduct performance testing using JMeter to analyze system behavior under load.

• Identify and report security vulnerabilities based on OWASP best practices.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver & Java for UI automation.

• Strong knowledge of manual & automated API testing (Postman & Rest Assured).

• Experience in mobile app testing (iOS & Android).

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter) and basic security testing.

• Proficiency in Test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of mobile test automation (Appium).

• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

• Exposure to cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, SauceLabs).

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Java/JavaScript for automation.

• Hands on experience with designing automation frameworks

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
