We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Playwright) to join Arion´s remote Tech Tribe team!

We are looking Senior Quality Engineer to contribute to the testing and test automation activities for our products and services. This role, which reports to the Manager of Quality Engineering, will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of products and services through functional testing and validation, and by implementing and maintaining functional test automation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the QE representative on a scrum team. In this role - you will ensure that the features and other changes developed by the team are thoroughly tested, and be the voice of quality and of the customer within the team.
  • Write, review, and execute test plans and test cases for validating product functionality and new features.
  • Contribute and bring a quality mindset to product requirements, design, and implementation discussions.
  • Develop and introduce functional test automation to validate the features and functional behavior before releasing new code.
  • Conduct manual and automated functional, system, and regression testing.
  • Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automation code.
  • Collaborate with the Product, Software Development, Quality Engineering, and SRE/DevOps teams to ensure applications and new features are of high quality.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively.
  • Identify and introduce improvements to quality and testing processes.

Job Qualifications and Educational Requirement(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • 3-plus years of experience in Quality Assurance/Engineering

  • Preferred experience with Playwright and Selenium. Demonstrated technical and coding aptitude in any language/technology required, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Java, Ruby, Python, or similar is a plus.
  • Experience with Gitlab is highly preferred, as it is the primary tool used in this role.
  • Familiarity with build and CI tools is essential, with Gitlab experience being a significant advantage.
  • Solid understanding of the development lifecycle and how code flows from development to production.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL, Unix/Linux, and virtualization technologies.
  • Solid experience with REST APIs is required.
  • Exposure to Linux and SQL is ideal.

Nice to have :

  • Familiarity with performance and scalability testing tools and techniques

  • Exposure to Monitoring and Observability tools like New Relic, Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, and OpenSearch.
  • Experience working with low/no-code automation solutions.

  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.

  • Virtualization experience is a nice-to-have.
