Senior Software QA Engineer (1531)

HEXAGON is a leading provider of advanced manufacturing solutions. We are committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients in the production machining industry. We are looking for a talented and experienced EDGECAM CAD/CAM Senior Software QA Engineer to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

•    Utilise your knowledge of the production machining industry to ensure software meets industry standards and client needs. 
•    Develop, execute, maintain and automate test plans and test cases for EDGECAM software.
•    Document and report bugs and issues, and work with the development team to resolve them. 
•    Help maintain and groom EDGECAM development backlog
•    Develop and maintain EDGECAM postprocessor templates and standard posts.
•    Write and maintain EDGECAM macros for automation and customization.
•    Develop basic plugins for EDGECAM to enhance functionality.
•    Aid the Product Management and Support teams to address market and and customer technical issues and providing solutions.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the software.
•    Communicate effectively with stakeholders and internal suppliers to understand requirements and provide updates.
 

Qualifications

•    Strong knowledge of the production machining industry.
•    Proven experience in CAM postprocessor customization, preferably EDGECAM.
•    Proficiency in one or more macro languages, preferably JavaScript.
•    Basic knowledge of software customisation such as plugin or add-in writing.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Experience with Agile software development and tools, ideally Scrum, SAFe and Jira.
•    Basic knowledge of .Net programming languages VB and C#.
•    Experience supporting CAM users. 
•    Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell and automation tools.
