Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET)

Overview:

As an SDET, you will use your passion for customers and QA to help drive Test strategy, tools, ownership, and delivery of quality to the front of the product development process for Eagle Eye Networks' flagship devices and services. As part of our Agile delivery teams, you will be responsible for planning, developing, executing, monitoring, improving, and maintaining test automation and test case design to decrease required test time, enable test repeatability, and power early and often quality estimation of our offerings. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance to team members, improving existing products and features, and test methodologies and tools. You will need to be a great team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships and increase engagement/collaboration with peers to drive technology roadmaps. A start-up mindset is required as we are always looking for creative ways to take on problems and increase the overall quality of our products, and have a strong ability to work independently. Eagle Eye Networks is an in office work environment. 

Desired Skills & Experience:

• At least 7+ years of Automation Testing experience, Python, Pytest, C, C++
• At least 5+ years of increasing responsibility as a SDET for a company that builds cloud-connected devices and services.
• At least 3+ years of experience in building, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining Test Environments throughout the entire CI/CD pipeline(GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Virtualization, etc)
• At least 5+ years of experience in (Python, Java, etc) web-centric languages and Low-level Firmware and Services (C, C++, Microservices), writing code, and conducting code reviews.
• Problem Solver and Self-Starter with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong ability to work independently without direct supervision and meet deadlines.
• Experience with development and testing tools including Jira, Qmetry, Xray, etc.
• Experience with testing and use of RESTful APIs and Open APIs.
• Expertise in the security, surveillance, or IOT domains is a huge plus.
