Our opportunity 

Test Lead to build up the team in Bratislava, with occasional travels to Vienna

Are you an experienced Tester or Test Analyst interested in building up the testing environment from the start? Do you like working in a hybrid and international team located in different countries?

We are currently looking for a Senior Test Analyst who will be responsible for delivering all test activities to implement processes and tests accelerating techniques within new projects. You will support internal initiatives and actively participate in all phases from conceptualization phase to implementation, advice the business on best practices that protect Zurich’s best interests, assist on trouble shooting and mitigation of issues experienced by team and projects.

In the starting phase, the focus is on manual testing, so we need you to take the phase of manual testing as an opportunity to get to know your product the best. We also think that some occasional travels to Vienna to meet with the customer in person in this building up phase is the key to succeed.

Your role
As a Test Lead you will be accountable for end-to-end delivery of your assigned projects. Your main responsibilities will involve:

• Review and analyze product backlogs and collaborate with team members (Business Analysts, Developers, other testers) to define and/or understand acceptance criteria
• Lead and participate in defect triage meetings and create test status and summary reports
• Participate in walkthroughs with respective business stakeholders
• Create Test Plans in collaboration with testers and other team members (BAs, developers)
• Execute test cases as per the agreed testing plan and defined priorities, log and retest defects
• Develop test cases and test scenarios based on the system requirements, run peer-reviews and script the test cases
• Assist with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects with developers and BAs
• Ensure test environments are set up and available according to test plan schedule
• Identify improvements to existing testing processes or tools
• Work with test managers and other team members to ensure sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learnt

Your Skills and Experience
As a Test Lead your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• 4+ of experience in Testing and Quality Management
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or similar

• Knowledge of Testing Metrics definition
• APIs testing knowledge
• Experience in Agile Methodology and Waterfall
• Experience with Azure DevOps Testing Tool
• ISTQB Foundation Level or Certified Agile Tester
• Positive attitude, strong communication (verbal and written) & interpersonal skills
• Team player in a collaborative environment ideally in cross cultural teams
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Spoken German (B2) – to understand and speak with customers
