Test Lead

For the Linklaters Service Delivery Centre, we are currently recruiting for the Test Lead role.

Purpose

You will be joining a friendly and dynamic Test Team as part of a combined Development and Testing function within the Technology Department. 

You will be working as part of a group of skilled Test Delivery Leads who are responsible for delivering test services to all business and operational products developed for/in use within the firm with a focus on driving towards Agile delivery working in collaboration with our outsourced managed test service provider.

You will be involved in all aspects of Test Management, including cost/effort estimating, resourcing planning, test plans, oversight of test execution and test reporting for all functional and non-functional testing.

You will have the opportunity to work with Business and Technology and influence based on a risk-based approach to testing.
 

Expectations of the role

• Lead the team to define testing needs, approach, plans, schedules & execution.
• Coach and develop members of the team to set, apply & maintain excellent test standards.
• Develop and build relationships across the team and beyond.
• Resolve problems and blockers as they occur with peers and help unlock junior members of the team.  Follow through on details and drive issues to closure.
• Lead by example in areas of test management, planning & cost control.
• Demonstrate your understanding of both functional and non-functional testing, and your ability to drive automation and performance test delivery.
• Management of the test delivery of assigned resources, including work scheduling and execution.
• Collaborate, communicate & work effectively with geographically distributed cross-functional teams and managed service personnel.
• Review & oversee test execution, including the creation and sharing of metrics to track progress against agreed targets.
• Define, develop and maintain artefacts such as test plans, test reports or knowledge documentation.
• Drive for continuous improvement in test process within an emerging agile team.

Your experience

• Experience within a test function, including responsibility for test service delivery for functional and non-functional (performance and operational acceptance) testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum SDLC practices & tools with the ability to articulate the value of Agile.
• Experience using a formal Test Management tool such as Azure DevOps (TFS), Jira or QC/ALM.
• Effective & strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate.
• A self-learner with a passion to learn new technologies & test practices.
• Pragmatic & results orientated.
• Experience in testing against various environments such as Windows, Web, Hardware etc.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain oversight on multiple Test projects running in parallel.
• Experience in building & maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
• Strong investigative skills with keen attention to detail.
• Experience in stakeholder & supplier management

Location

• Warsaw - hybrid working model with 2 days per week at the office

Contract
