About the role

The Data & Analytics Test Manager (internally titled Test Manager) is responsible for the testing of data products under development, providing expert process improvement advice to reduce development defects and provide assurance that risks associated with implementing new systems are accurately quantified and addressed.

This is a hands-on management role with responsibility for both leading the team as well as the delivery of work including the execution of data and analytics test cases. This role primarily works across the Microsoft suite of data and analytics tools including Azure, Fabric, PowerBI, Purview as well as Profisee MDM.

About you

  • Experienced in designing and executing test strategies, plans and test cases across large scale complex datalake / data warehousing and the associated reporting environments
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to align testing activities with project objectives
  • Experience in developing of test strategies to reduce risks that impact the quality, accuracy and reliability of data products
  • Capable in providing leadership, advice, guidance and support to enhance, knowledge, capabilities and professional development
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
