Visteon Sofia Lab:

The laboratory is performing a variety of tests covering the entire product cycle – from the early design phase to mass production. Products developed for the leading German, French and British car manufacturers will be subjected to various tests simulating real conditions and extreme situations. The aim is to ensure their maximum reliability and security. Visteon's electronics, electrical and mechanical specialists will perform various types of testing for resistance to various climatic conditions, vibration, particle and water penetration, and immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Mission of the Role:

Visteon's global Early Career program is a unique opportunity designed specifically for recent or soon-to-be electrical/ mechanical engineer graduates. It serves as a launching pad for your professional journey in the automotive technology field. Our RISE program aims to bridge the gap between your academic life and the professional world by providing you with the necessary resources to enhance your skills and expand your knowledge of the mobility technology industry.

As a member of our RISE program, you will undergo a training course led by industry professionals. This training will help you transition smoothly into working alongside highly skilled engineering teams. Additionally, you will have the privilege of being mentored throughout this process.

By joining our program, you will have the chance to work in a state-of-the-art automotive test laboratory and ensure that our products meet the highest environmental testing standards. This hands-on experience will allow you to contribute to cutting-edge developments in the industry.

Key Objectives of this Role: 

• Ensure Environmental (Climatic, Mechanical) tests are executed to customer specifications, maintain test data integrity, evaluate results, and report data to customers promptly;
• Work with the Product Development Engineering team to understand specific test setup requirements;
• Ensure quality and validity of data during test sequences. Prepare Test Reports to meet customer requirements;
• Update and maintain Test software;
• Contribute towards continuous improvement activities;
• Keep up to date with test standards and practices;
• Support the development of local work instructions;
• Ensure that equipment used for testing is verified/ calibrated before use.

Key Performance Indicators:

• On-time delivery of test reports;
• Quality of test results;
• Contribution to overall team performance.

Key Year One Deliverables: 

• Become familiar with laboratory Management System according to ISO 17025 and IATF 16949;
• Build relationship with the internal teams in Visteon;
• Become familiar with existing processes and instructions and propose optimizations where possible.

Qualification, Experience and Skills: 

• University degree or currently studying in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
• Hands- on experience with lab test equipment considered as a plus;
• Very good communication skills;
• Very good English level (written and spoken).
