Position:Β Flight Test Engineer

Position Description:
Β
DZYNE Technologies is building a highly skilled team that thrives in the design, development, test and manufacturing of intelligent, autonomous vehicles. The candidate will work in a vehicle development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and efficiency.
Β
The successful candidate will be a highly organized self-starter who has direct, hands-on experience planning and executing flight tests as well as leading flight test teams. The candidate must have solid technical abilities, able to quickly analyze technical difficulties, isolate problems to the component level, and promptly resolve the problem as necessary.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:
- Five years of relevant work related to flight test operations
- Provide technical oversight and leadership in integrating flight test objectives, equipment, and test assets, skills/resources, and planning T&E budgets and schedules.
- βββββββInteract with certification engineers to ensure all programβs operational certification standards are achieved and addressed.
- Must have a strong technical background, ability to read and interpret engineering design artifacts, and customer requirements
- Must have the ability to communicate test procedures to a wide audience
- Author test and safety plans for a variety of programs and customers
- Assist in standardizing flight test planning products, and act as a mentor for new flight test engineers
- Act as test director or test conductor for flight test events
- Research, select, and source instrumentation components as part of a test system or unit under test.
- Develop and perform acceptance tests for a variety of products
- Author test reports for daily events and final deliverables to customers
- Follow specific tool control, FOD control, and safety guidelines and policies.
- Self-driven and interfaces well with teams of varied disciplines
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, or employee(s).
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Graduate of an internationally-recognized recognized test pilot school
Education/Experience:
- Bachelorβs Degree (required) Masterβs Degree (desired) in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences
- Experience in aviation as a private pilot or remote pilot (Part 107)
- Experience with U.S. government-sponsored test programs

Working Conditions

- Work performed may be in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this position, may regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment.

- Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
- May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
- Ability to travel to remote and sometimes austere locations for flight test activities

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 annually
Β
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
