As a Hardware QA Engineer (m/f/x), you will be responsible for qualifying new product developments, conducting root cause analyses of existing Dedrone hardware products, and ensuring quality throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will be closely integrated into the development team, collaborating with our international colleagues, particularly in the USA, while bringing a passion for stable, user-friendly, and high-performance hardware, and demonstrating the flexibility needed to work effectively across time zones. Your contribution will help shape the reliability of our hardware sensing and mitigation products, making a significant impact on airspace security.Β Β

Reports to: Director of Quality Engineering Β
- You support the development of new hardware products and the improvement of existing products, focusing on quality assurance and risk mitigation through appropriate testing.Β
- You analyze errors and root causes, prepare meaningful reports for the development team, and coordinate quality control approvals.Β
- You work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, define quality objectives, and ensure these are validated through suitable testing.Β
- You define the strategic direction of our testing procedures and ensure their continuous improvement and optimization.Β
- You proactively contribute ideas to enhance our quality processes and support the definition of acceptance criteria for product functions.Β
- You conduct statistical analyses of test results to identify systematic and sporadic errors and derive appropriate measures.Β

What You Bring Β
- You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a completed technical apprenticeship in electronics/electrical engineering, or comparable extensive experience in the field.Β
- Experience in hardware quality assurance and analysis, particularly in the RF field, is desirable.Β
- You possess quick comprehension, strong technical understanding, a high level of quality awareness, and a structured and analytical working style.Β
- You are experienced in handling electronic assemblies as well as common measurement and testing technology.Β
- You are a strong communicator and are willing to act independently and make decisions.Β
- You have a strong command of English, both spoken and written.Β
- You are moderately willing to travel (approximately 10%) to support our international projects and teams on-site.Β
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or similar is optional.Β
- Ideally, you have experience with Linux systems and can log into network devices using SSH, Putty, etc.Β
