We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to function as a software tester across multiple teams and multiple divisions of OPIS, a Dow Jones Company. You will play an integral role in the development and deployment of software in a fast-paced environment. You will embrace many different roles, offering input on development impact on our existing internal environment as well as anticipating impact on customer files, software, and experience.Β
Reporting to the Associate Director of QA, you will contribute to the expansion of our internationally distributed Quality Assurance team by leveraging automation; seeking opportunities to increase team efficiency by building automated software tests and working with our development teams to integrate these into our development processes.Β
Develop and document automated and manual tests using our cross-divisional automation testing framework
Identify and track recurring issues and design/code automated tests to prevent future recurrenceΒ
Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and production deploys with several project teams simultaneouslyΒ
4+Β years professional experience in IT Quality Assurance
Extensive experience in two or more programming languages such as C#, Javascript, Python
Hands-on experience with one or more API testing tools such as SoapUI/POSTMAN/Rapid-APIΒ
Extensive experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle and performing functional, exception, edge, integration and regression testsΒ
Deep understanding of one or more test frameworks, such as xUnit, nUnit, Selenium
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization from junior team members to senior leadership
Experience with source control tools such as Git a plus
Bachelorβs degree in computer science or related technical field preferred
