About the position 

Signavio-SAP is looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer for our Process Intelligence team. 

The Lead ‪QA Engineer will work as part of our development teams in leading the quality aspect of the development. You will design automated tests and scenarios to validate applications by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. 

Part of your time will be spent on enhancing the current testing capabilities of the team and the other part will be in working closely with the Product Owner as well as the Engineers to support test scenarios creation. You will review the team’s upcoming features, writing test plans and mentoring the team’s developers on them and lead the continuous improvement processes of the team in terms of quality. 

 

About the team: Process Intelligence

Our Brno-based Process Intelligence team was created throughout 2022. From 0, we are now 24 people and are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer to help develop our QA practice and local community.

 

What you will do:

  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. 

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases derived directly from product specifications and customer requirements. 

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.  

  • Work hands-on, together with the Agile Development team to ensure continuous quality delivery of automated acceptance, API, and performance testing.  

  

Would be great if you have: 

  • In-depth experience in testing SaaS applications 

  • Solid experience in developing automated tests 

  • Cypress, TestCafe or Selenium frameworks knowledge required

  • Programming – able to use programming skills to write clean code and scripts in common computer languages, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, as well as ability to understand Java/Kotlin for API  

  • Strong understanding of Agile QA processes and concepts including test case preparation and test methodologies 

  • Ability to consistently estimate, schedule and deliver completed tasks 

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs 

  • Critical thinking about product behavior and user impact 

  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.  

  • Experience with performance testing using Gatling/Scala and as a bonus using CircleCI 

  • Good understanding of the testing pyramid.  

  • Experience working with technical and non-technical business owners is a big plus
