Translate By Humans is seeking a translation project manager to join our team based in Ahmedabad. This role will primarily be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of translation/subtitling projects across various industry verticals, including ones that involve multiple foreign languages and maintaining client relationships as well.

Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesΒ
- Understand and adhere to client-specific requirements, guidelines, and expectations for translation quality.Β
- Responsible for the linguistic quality process throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyse source project files and prepare instructions for translatorsΒ
- Compare translations with the source text to ensure faithful representationΒ
- Review translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy, grammar, spelling, and overall quality.Β
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, terminology, and language conventions throughout translated materials.
- Follow established style guides, glossaries, and client-specific guidelines to maintain consistency and adherence to client branding and preferences.
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of translation quality.Β
- Establishing review checklists, setting quality standards, and implementing best practices to improve overall translation quality.
- Work closely with translators, project managers, and the internal team to clarify requirements, provide feedback, and offer improvement suggestions.Β
- Utilize translation management systems, computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, and other relevant software to streamline the quality assurance process.Β
- Offer training sessions or workshops on specific topics related to translation quality, style, or client requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on translation quality, highlighting areas of improvement, identifying recurring issues, and suggesting process enhancements.
- Maintain records of quality evaluation results, translation feedback, and client-specific instructions for future reference
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree (Masterβs degree preferred)
- At least two plus years of experience as a Language Lead or QA Expert
- Should be willing to work in UK Shift from -1 pm to 10 pm
- Experience in Coordination with Project Managers and Linguists.
- Must have worked in multiple vendors' environments
- Ability to multitask in a time-sensitive work environment and stay calm under pressure.
- Experience using CAT tools - SDL Trados, XTM, MemoQ, etc.
- Understanding of HTML, XML, and web technologies along with Microsoft Office programs would be beneficial.
- Fluency in verbal and written English communication and understanding foreign dialects must require
- Highly detail oriented, positive, friendly, and a fast learner
- Quality Management Certifications are plus
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
