Our client, a fast-growing US-based eCommerce platform in the food ordering industry, is looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer to design impactful user interfaces that drive both customer satisfaction and business growth.
Role Overview
As a QA Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of a platform that supports thousands of daily users. Your thorough testing processes will ensure that the platform meets the highest standards of functionality, usability, and performance. From identifying bugs to collaborating with developers on fixes, your work will directly enhance the reliability and user satisfaction of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Manual Testing: Execute test cases across various devices, browsers, and user scenarios to ensure platform stability and quality.
- Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects in a clear and actionable manner using tools like Jira or similar platforms.
- Test Planning: Develop and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and scripts to cover a wide range of use cases for B2C and B2B audiences.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and UX/UI Designers to understand requirements and provide feedback on user stories and feature designs.
- Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression tests before each release to ensure new features and updates donβt introduce new issues.
- User-Centric Testing: Focus on the user experience, ensuring that both B2C customers and B2B clients encounter a smooth and intuitive platform.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Manual Tester, preferably within eCommerce or food ordering platforms.
- Strong Attention to Detail: Proven ability to identify issues others might miss, with a focus on delivering a flawless user experience.
- Experience with Test Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of Agile Workflows: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, participating in sprint planning and review cycles.
- Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Testing: Experience testing on multiple platforms (e.g., mobile, tablet, desktop) and browsers.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing APIs or using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with basic automation testing or scripting concepts.
- Knowledge of food ordering or eCommerce platforms.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and QA processes in cloud-based environments.
