As a Test Manager within our Technology & Transformation division, you will play a pivotal role inΒ managing the STLC, defining the test approach and strategy and enhancing testing capabilities and performance for an assigned program of work, aligned to our Test Management governance, frameworks and Non-Functional Testing (NFT) standards.Β
The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver valuable test outcomes spanning Performance, Scalability, Reliability and Availability testing, in line with scheduled releases. Additionally, the role will identify, develop and implement continuous improvements to test frameworks, tools and artifacts, ensuring they are robust, scalable and future-ready.
This role is offered as a 12 months fixed term contract with potential extensions or permanency.
ResponsibilitiesΒ
- Manage a team of NFT testers, define strategies, set performance goals and oversee test planning, execution and analysis and support application owners with the assembly of Production Verification Testing
- Maintain broad organisational wide application across the Data Centre relocation program.
- Mentor and coach team members on NFT best practices, troubleshooting techniques and skill development.
- Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and automation scripts to optimise efficiency.
- Apply strong skills in performance testing tools, automation (Java, Python, etc.), database performance testing, network protocols, system architecture and performance optimisation.
- Drive enhancements through retrospectives and ensure reusable test assets are developed and maintained.
- Identify opportunities for optimising processes and improving testing efficiency.
- Actively collaborate with key stakeholders, team member and Vendors across Programs to develop and maintain the test approach, strategy, framework and artefacts.
- Manage the STLC within the SDLC specific to the assigned program of work (Waterfall or Agile frameworks).

You have strong expertise inΒ ensuring the reliability, performance, security and integrity of applications by adhering to established test governance, frameworks, and non-functional testing standards;Β stablishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders, vendors and third parties; andΒ maintaining strong levels of staff engagement and collaboration across teams, aligned with corporate KPIs, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience managing non-functional testing across large programs of work.Β
- Ability to interact with a wider range of application owners to document requirements for testing
- Ability to manage and lead Performance and Non-Functional Testing regimes for specific applications
- Experience with Data Centre relocations and/or end-of-life infrastructure migrations would be advantageous
- Expertise in designing and implementing performance testing frameworks, automation solutions and service virtualisation.
- Technical proficiency in modern performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner), scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python), CI/CD integration and performance monitoring systems.
- Understanding of system architecture, API testing, network protocols and database performance optimisation.
- Previous experience in Test Strategy development across large and complex technical work programs.
- Strong communication skills with experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
