About the Role

As part of our Technology Enabling Development Lab (TED), you’ll work on the cutting edge of technology innovation. Our primary focus is on the host interface firmware layer, a critical intersection between system software and flash management firmware. This key technology underpins Samsung’s breakthrough V-NAND solutions, enabling enterprise-class applications such as hyperscale data centers, big data processing, and software-defined virtualized storage systems.

Our client is committed to advancing enterprise solid-state flash technologies. Our Enterprise-class SSDs are designed for maximum performance and reliability, and we’re seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to ensure our products continue to meet and exceed these standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Test Engineer in the NVMe Customer Qualification Test Team, you will:
•Execute and debug OEM drive qualification tests on NVMe Solid State Drives (SSDs).
•Analyze and resolve issues during test execution in collaboration with the development team.
•Define, implement, and enhance functional test coverage for validating NVMe firmware.
•Monitor and optimize test coverage, deploying new tools and capabilities into daily regression cycles.
•Track quality metrics to ensure ongoing improvements in product reliability.

Key Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain high-quality test infrastructure to support enterprise SSD testing.
•Monitor quality trends and implement improvements to meet stringent enterprise-class standards.
•Conduct system- and device-level performance analyses.
•Debug front-end storage protocols like NVMe/PCIe, Fibre Channel, or SAS.
•Collaborate with development teams to enhance firmware quality and address test failures.

Requirements
•Experience with enterprise storage systems setup, testing, and debugging.
•Familiarity with at least one front-end storage protocol (e.g., NVMe/PCIe, FC, SAS).
•Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, Perl, or Shell).
•Hands-on experience with SSD or HDD testing is highly desirable.
•Proficiency with protocol analyzers such as LeCroy, SerialTek, or Xgig.
•Strong understanding of system- or device-level performance analysis.

Join our team and help shape the future of enterprise storage technology. Your work will have a global impact, powering performance-driven solutions for the world’s most demanding applications.
