The Performance Test Engineer is a technical leader in the Advanced Services organization and is a strategic participant in customer development efforts. The Performance Test Engineer helps set the direction for performance testing with customers and helps create standards and procedures within iLAB. Also, the Performance Engineer provides leadership on performance test strategy, and test environment design and is responsible for the design, enhancement, and future growth of performance testing architecture and framework.
- Manage multiple projects, serving as the point of contact for Non-Functional testing initiatives.
- Define Performance Testing Objectives and Scope
- Design a Performance Test Plan and Strategy
- Recommend tool(s) to be used for performance testing and monitoring.
- Develop Performance Test Scripts and Scenarios
- Configure and Manage the Performance Test Environment
- Identifying Testing Parameters
- Drive improvements in system availability, reliability, and consistency of software performance.
- Prepare and Load Test Data
- Execute Performance Test
- Applying Consistent Monitoring Metrics
- Analyze Performance Test Results
- Generate and present performance test results.
- Identify Non-Functional Requirements for Performance Testing
- Locate Performance Obstructions and Root Causes
- Review and Update Performance testing artifacts for accuracy and completeness.
- Coaching/mentoring test engineers on performance testing best practices.
- Provide guidance and direction to performance engineers/testers to ensure high standards of deliverables.
