Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Planning Test ManagerΒ with proven commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills to lead our service delivery. You will have experience in leading an organisational testing function and providing test governance to large transformation programmes.

The Planning Test ManagerΒ will define the scope of new projects, manage the day to day running of the test practice, provide oversight and guidance on in-flight test delivery, including stepping in to resolve issues. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders, up to C-suite level, have overall responsibility for NCS’s test delivery and support the client’s overall quality and testing aims.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and coordinating multiple parallel test projects.

  • Ability to advise on appropriate test strategies based on SDLC, client context and risk variables.

  • Experience working with account management functions including appreciation of commercial implications of delivery decisions.

  • Experience leading and motivating test teams in highly results oriented environment.

  • Strong Test Management experience across all phases of testing.

  • Ability to prepare and maintain relevant testing documentation including Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Summary/Exit Report.

  • Ability to assess risks to schedule, cost or quality on project testing activities.

  • Proven experience with quality assurance of testing, including manual and automation.

  • Proven experience in all aspects of software testing including:

    • Test strategy definition and execution

    • Test planning development and delivery

    • Implementation of test automation framework

    • Defect management

  • Exceptional communication skills including experience reporting on testing outcomes at Steering Committee level.

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
