DESCRIPTION / OPPORTUNITY
Our
growing team, the Agile Center of Excellence, needs a Test Engineer to create
and maintain manual and automated tests for a Power BI, SQL Server, .NET suite
of reports and applications supporting CBRE Digital and Technology product
teams. We need a professional who is focused on high-value changes and
adjustments that can improve our satisfaction rate and increase our overall effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software testing strategies in a
complex reporting environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's
degree in business or related field and 3-5 years of experience.
3-5 years writing
and executing manual and automated test plans for a sophisticated data
warehouse & relational database environment.
Experience
testing complex Power BI reports and datasets
Experience
testing MS SQL Server queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages
Comfortable
with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for ad hoc analysis and
communication
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and analytical
skills.
Ability to
provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to Agile COE
customers and stakeholders.
Ability to
effectively present information.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to
modify Power BI reports
Ability to
understand and create SQL queries utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, to
investigate data issues or support data requests and to update data within the
Agile CoE data warehouse as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with
an Agile team to understand and test a suite of reports to collect insights for
decision-making.
Test Power
BI reports using various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, and DAX
queries.
Test
integrations between a data warehouse and various ALM systems such as Azure
DevOps (ADO) and Jira using a combination of REST API’s and direct queries.
Run SQL
queries, stored procedures, and other objects to validate data integrity.
Document
code and requirements in a simple and sufficient approach.
