Job Description

Position Summary


Β· Be a key member of Walmart Customer Care application team.

Β· Lead quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and/or software


Β· Support continuous integration process improvement and innovation


Β· Write test plans, test strategy and test cases (automated)

Β· Identify opportunities for improved software development lifecycle


Β· Troubleshoot critical defects in software coding


Β· Work closely with the Developers and Engineers to achieve a high level of code coverage

Β· Assists in providing guidance to offshore associates

Β· Socialize and Collaborate testing efforts with peers

Key Responsibilities:

Β· Design and implement QA test automations for Walmart Customer Services applications.

Β· Working with OneOps, Devtools and developers to streamline the release process

Β· Author test plans and manage test cases and test passes

Β· Conduct manual testing as needed during various development cycles

Β· Coordinate UAT’s with business users and other stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Β· 3+ years of experience in hands-on coding, design in Java and/or test automation tools development

Β· Solid understanding of object-oriented design and coding

Β· Passionate of building or using tools to improve application quality effectively

Β· Experience with scripting languages is a plus (Shell, Ruby, Javascript)

Β· Experience with using popular test framework, i.e. TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver)

Β· Experience working with one or more database technologies (Oracle, MySql, etc)

Β· Understanding of web technology including HTTP headers, Http Verbs (post, get, etc)

Β· Effective communication skill

Β· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or above

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (Jenkins/ /Maven)
  • Good understanding of GIT
  • Experience with Code Quality Governance related tools (Sonar, Gerrit, PMD, FindBugs, Checkstyle, Emma, Cobertura, JIRA, etc)
  • Excellent collaboration skill with infrastructure engineering team
