What you will do
As a QA Engineer for our Johnson Controls Access Control and Video Surveillance global Quality Assurance team, will have the opportunity to collaborate and participate in team meetings and expand your knowledge of hardware, firmware, software for our access control products! This position will be based onsite in Westford, MA. Candidates must be commuting distance or able/willing to relocate.
You will also get the opportunity to interact with senior management, build internal network and relationships with other associates and make a difference in JCIβs future success! This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career and looking forward to learning the fundamentals of Quality Assurance and receive coaching performance feedback from leadership.
How you will do it
The QA Engineer will support computer systems QA activities, including working, managing and creating windows lab environment. You will gain knowledge and understanding of software, systems, and engineering including hardware and software dependencies, in thick client/server as well as in web environment. Get ready to lead and assist in improvement initiatives that will optimize the performance of our organization! We have a positive and fun team, with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.
What you will need
Required
Bachelors degree in Engineering with a discipline in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical and/or Computer Science
Understanding on Quality assurance work and for software development
Knowledge of basic sql and general coding/scripting knowledge (Java, Java script, Python, C++ C#)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Internship experience preferred
