QA Engineer

About this Position

In this role, you will be part of our Quality team in our Kakogawa plant.  

What you´ll do

• Perform standard quality control testing on incoming raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods. o Calculate and report test results, recording test data into the SAP database.
• File and maintain retain samples, dispose of old retain samples, and maintain a clean working environment.
• Assist Quality Engineers with complaint investigations and provide appropriate training to internal customers in the Quality area.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization within the quality department.
• Complete and manage any assigned projects determined by the departmental Manager, Supervisor, and Leads.
• Develop tests and report on formulations, executing lab testing and generating test data and documentation.
• Communicate with various internal functions and execute the implementation of regulation changes.

What makes you a good fit

• 1-5 years working experience with Chemical background or working in the chemical industry
• Bachelor in relevant Chemical related degree
• International Mindset
• Statistical Analysis skill
• Fluent in both English and Japanese
• Big Data analysis experience a plus
• Background in quality a plus
• New graduates are also welcome provided you have a relevant degree in Chemistry
