The A.C.Coy Company has an immediate opening for a QA Engineer for an onsite/hybrid role in Dallas, TX.Β  Qualified candidates must be strong in both Automation and Manual testing.Β  You will be responsible for software test automation, design, planning, scripting, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Testing and Validation:
    • Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing to ensure that implemented solutions meet the specified requirements and are of high quality
    • Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures
    • Executing tests on source code
    • Analyzing test results and reporting to the development team
    • Working with a development team to correct bugs and errors
    • Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation functions
    • Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using Selenium
  • Lifecycle Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Understanding Stakeholder Needs:
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders (both internal and external) to understand their requirements, objectives, and challenges
    • This involves active listening and effective communication
  • Communication and Influence:
    • Effectively communicate with, and influence, key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements, and operational decisions

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field

  • 3 years of verifiable experience as a QA Tester
  • Good development/scripting skills in common languages which are Web-driver compatible such as Java, Objective-C, JavaScript with Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, C#, or Perl with the Selenium WebDriver API and language-specific client libraries
  • Must demonstrate a general understanding of test automation frameworks
  • Expert knowledge of the automated testing tool Selenium
  • Familiarity with traditional and Agile project management methodologies and software development lifecycles
  • Knowledge of relevant tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
