About the Project: The Calexico Land Port of Entry (LPOE) Phase 2B project represents a major modernization effort for one of the busiest border crossings in the U.S. This high-impact initiative will deliver a state-of-the-art Pedestrian Processing Facility, integrating advanced technologies, sustainable practices, and cutting-edge design. The project supports over 20,000 daily vehicle crossings and 12,500 pedestrian crossings, emphasizing both functionality and security for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations.Β
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager ensures that the Calexico Land Port of Entry Phase 2B Project meets stringent federal quality and performance standards. This role requires a proactive leader who can implement robust QA processes and oversee compliance across all project phases.Β
Key Requirements:Β
Experience:Β
Minimum 10 years in quality assurance for construction projects, with significant experience on federal contracts.Β
Familiarity with LEED certification processes and Low Embodied Carbon Materials (LEC) is highly desirable.Β
Commitment: Full-time engagement for 63 months, supporting quality assurance across design, construction, and commissioning phases. On-site presence during construction and closeout phases is preferred.Β
Skills: Expertise in QA/QC processes, compliance verification, and documentation, with a deep understanding of federal construction standards.Β
Responsibilities:Β
Quality Assurance Plan: Develop and implement a comprehensive QA plan covering all project phases.Β
Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with federal standards, including GSAβs P-100, LEED, and sustainability requirements.Β
Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of design and construction documents to verify alignment with project objectives.Β
Inspection Coordination: Oversee site inspections and testing to ensure materials and construction methods meet project specifications.Β
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective measures.Β
