QA Manager

At the end of August, Bulten completed the acquisition of Exim (Exim & Mfr Holdings Pte Ltd), a Singapore-based distributor of fasteners and other C parts. Exim established in 1982 in Singapore, Exim & Mfr Enterprise provides quality-assured fasteners, electro-mechanical components, sleevings / tubings, wires, wiring management accessories and C-parts to multinational manufacturers and equipment makers across diversified industries.

The QA Manager reports to Senior Director-Material Management and is responsible for leading and overseeing QA Department, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves implementing and managing company certification audits, sustainability compliance and customer audits and requirements. QA Manager also evaluates supplier performance through audits and performance reviews, driving continuous improvement and ensuring product and process quality meet company and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide support Quality Engineers in the operations of the QA functions.
• Implement and manage the company’s certificated quality and management systems.
• Manage customer audits as required.
• Perform supplier quality system audits when necessary
• Prepare and present monthly QA performance report
• Lead quality initiatives and promote quality culture across the organization using data driven metrics
• Investigate customer complaints and develop effective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Chair quality management review and oversee internal and external audits.
• Escalate and manage any significant events such as safety, quality, regulatory or any compliance issues.
• Collaborate with and guide QA Engineers in addressing non-conformities and driving continuous improvement with our suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned

Pre-requisites:

1. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.
3. Knowledge in Quality Management Standards with internal auditing experience.
4. Able to handle customers' complaints and supplier quality issues.
5. Knowledge of QA Tools, Statistical Quality Control Techniques.
6. Good leadership and communication skill.
7. Possess positive working attitude with initiative.
8. Able to work independently and work under pressure.
9. Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
