TheΒ Senior QA Analyst – Payment ApplicationsΒ will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing test cases to ensure the quality and compliance of Castles' payment applications. This role will work closely with the development, field engineering, and support teams to enhance the testing process, reduce time-to-market, and improve product quality. The ideal candidate has experience with payment solutions, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), along with strong analytical and communication skills to drive efficient issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans and scripts for regression testing and newly released attended and unattended (Class B) payment applications.
  • Maintain and update a test matrix to account for various enabled/disabled configuration options affecting functional and cosmetic features.
  • Create detailed and well-documented JIRA tickets to facilitate efficient issue reproduction and resolution by development teams.
  • Prioritize reported issues based on severity (cosmetic, functional, or liability-related) to optimize resolution time and product readiness.
  • Collaborate with development teams to refine the testing process and improve application quality through iterative testing cycles.
  • Assist in updating and enhancing payment application user guides and documentation.
  • Support Field Engineering (FAE) and Development Support teams by conducting root cause analysis for reported payment application issues.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and compatibility testing with third-party applications that interact with Castles payment solutions.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance within the North American payment industry, preferably with payment terminal manufacturers, ISOs, or ISVs.
  • Strong understanding of attended and unattended payment solutions, as well as Card Present vs. Card Not Present transactions.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written) to streamline issue resolution.
  • Experience with Terminal Management Systems (TMS) and Software Development Kits (SDKs).
  • Understanding of PCI and EMV certification processes and regulations related to payment terminals.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred:

  • Experience with automated testing solutions in the payment industry.
  • Familiarity with PCI MPOC (or CPOC) standards.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • White-box and black-box testing experience.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet.
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus, as Castles’ headquarters and manufacturing are based in Taiwan.

  • Preferred Location:Β This role is based inΒ Kennesaw, GA, with aΒ hybrid scheduleΒ (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
