The Work You'll Do:

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in training team members, mastering the business logic for a specific product, and gaining knowledge about other products. This role requires a deep understanding of quality, development, and deployment processes, ensuring alignment with Sovos’ best practices. The Senior QA Engineer demonstrates leadership and mentoring capabilities, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

More specifically, you will:

• Share knowledge and insights in an engaging manner, identifying opportunities to share learnings globally.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, delegate tasks effectively, and support other QA engineers.
• Contribute to complex software delivery projects with a focus on quality, innovation, and process improvement.
• Collaborate on high-priority issues, providing comprehensive impact analysis and visualizing the broader picture for the team.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple product modules and advocate for improved QA involvement across teams.
• Apply clean-code best practices to automation efforts, creating and enhancing automated test cases, suites, and tools.
• Lead automation projects, serving as a repository owner and suggesting improvements to processes and tools.
• Demonstrate self-awareness, authenticity, and effective communication to foster collaboration and align teams around shared objectives.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Sovos Core Values and Global QA Practices, introducing and implementing improvements as needed.

What We Need From You

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Cypress, Selenium, and/or Robot Framework.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and strategies.
• Ability to guide others within and beyond Product Development in applying QA best practices.
• Skill in identifying and suggesting technical improvements to QA procedures and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage complexity, maintain resilience under tight timelines, and meet objectives.
• Anticipate and address obstacles that may impact multiple products and teams.
• Act as a change agent, facilitating acceptance and sustainability of workplace changes.
• Demonstrate commitment to goals despite obstacles and frustrations.
• Adapt effectively to new structures, processes, and requirements.
• Build trust and foster team effectiveness by encouraging collaboration, managing conflict constructively, and driving results.
