Summary of the role:

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the QA team to define strategy and process, bringing automation in line with existing functional aspects of the test effort. You will be responsible for creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts.

In this role you’ll:

• Design, create, execute and maintain automated tests;
• Set up test environment and test cases execution;
• Record and report automation test results
• Follow detailed processes for best-practice test automation and maintenance;
• Review design to verify requirements implemented, good engineering design practices followed
• Perform API level testing, system testing, black box functional testing, UI and white box testing.
• Assess implementation against the requirements and design
• Ensure development and supporting processes must be followed                

About the ideal candidate: 

• Education: Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related disciplines
• Relevant Work Experience: 4 – 6 years of work experience
• Business Understanding:  Awareness of Manual/ Automation testing
• Working knowledge of any UI functional test framework, preferable Ranorex
• Working knowledge of any Performance/loading testing tool, preferable JMeter 
• Working knowledge of JIRA, HPQC or another relevant tool
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Working knowledge of SQL and scripts to write procedures
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to be a successful member of a team
• Good English language skills including reading, writing, and speaking
• Working knowledge of any programming language, preferably C#.
• Experience of testing Desktop and BI applications
• Ability to interact with clients
