Senior QA Engineer Opportunity in IT industry

• Location: Colombo 07

• Work Type: Hybrid - 4 days working from home, 1 day coming to office

• Work Hours: 9 am. to 6 pm

• Working Days: Monday to Friday

Requirements:

• BSc. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional qualification.
• 4+ years of QA experience with good skills in Functional and UI testing capabilities.
• A solid practical understanding of Agile Software Quality Assurance and Software Engineering concepts.
• Conduct test planning of the project (Designs, estimates, and evaluates testing requirements)
• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation.
• Perform error analysis and defect reporting, retesting and regression testing. 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot issues on the application and its environment.
• Experience in using JIRA and Scrum Process Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge sharing across the product delivery team.Conduct database-level verifications with SQL.
  Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.
  Exposure to test automation tools and performance testing would be an added advantage

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Conduct test planning of the project (Designs, estimates, and evaluates testing requirements)
• Create and document detailed test cases and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare test data sets to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective testing scenarios.
• Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify issues, bugs, and areas for improvement (smoke testing, sanity testing, functional/non-functional testing and regression testing).
• Identify, document, and report bugs (JIRA), and work collaboratively with the development team to resolve them.
• Document test results and create reports, communicating effectively to stakeholders on the quality status of the software.
• Take decisions on QA releases and take actions for blockers to the testing process.
• Utilize automation skills, where applicable, to create and execute automated test cases,
• improving testing efficiency and coverage.
  Contribute to the development and improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and standards.
• Work closely with developers to understand product requirements and provide feedback on potential quality issues and provide inputs to improve the quality of product and process.
