Role Description:

The Senior Software QA Engineer participates and assists in leading all aspects of the software development lifecycle ensuring the quality output of the team meets the organizations expectations by continuously identifying ways to improve quality and efficiency.  With an emphasis on test automation, the Senior Software QA Engineer is expected to lead the test automation effort, providing coaching and mentoring, reviewing all test automation produced by the QA team.

The Senior Software QA Engineer is able to clearly communicate and train other team members on the complexities of the system.  The Senior Software QA Engineer understands user and partner interactions with the system and software to ensure a great user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the designing and coding activities required to support test automation.
• Closely collaborates with the team in Šenčur and others across the organization.
• Preparation of manual test cases, ultimately to be converted to automated tests.
• Acts as a mentor and coach to other QA Engineers

• Research and develop test frameworks for automation.
• Take QA lead role in major releases.
• Leads test automation code reviews.
• Follows industry best practices related to automated test coding.

• Ensure quality standards and best practices are met.
• Provide key metrics that can be used to improve quality and actively contributes to the engineering team OKRs.
• Setting up and configuration of CI/CD pipelines to support test automation execution.
• Analyze and report key quality metrics including escaped defects, customer escalations, etc… Assist in improving test coverage and product quality which will ultimately improve the quality metrics.
• Actively investigate and analyze failing automated tests, ensuring follow-up and resolution is done that could result in fixing of tests or raising defects
• Actively participates in all sprint ceremonies
• Executing of both functional and non-functional testing
• Executing of performance, stress and penetration testing
• Investigate new technologies and test approaches

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, related field or relevant experience

• Strong experience developing or automating in Java, C# or related programming language and scripting languages (JScript, TypeScript, Python)

• Strong experience with API test automation

• Strong understanding of fundamentals of functional and non-functional testing
• Hands on experience with coaching and mentoring other team members
• Strong investigative and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Database environments (SQL Server, Postgres, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Exposure to non-functional testing using automated tools such as JMeter
• Flexible and adaptable in meeting the changing needs of the business
• Experience working in the supply chain software industry (nice to have)
• Location: Šenčur, Slovenia

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Outside the box thinker, always wanting to improve.

• Fluent in English language.
