Senior QA Tester

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.

3+ years of experience in performance and functionality testing as part of the development cycle.

2+ years of experience in E2E testing automation tools (e.g., WebdriverIO, Appium, Selenium, Cypress)

1+ years of experience in API and performance testing tools (e.g., Gatling, k6, jMeter)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in working with product owners to define acceptance criteria

Experience in coaching agile team members in relevant aspects of testing

Skills:

Display of critical, quality-oriented, skeptical thinking about the product

Quick respond to change (e.g., adding or improving test cases)

Good planning and organizing of their own work

Synchronizing of different types of team activities, managing risks and relationships between teams within tasks

Objective external assessment of emerging issues in the team and troubleshooting through agile principles

1. Proactively address issues and potential bugs within an application during the development cycles by performing continuous testing of newly developed features and helping automate testing process
2. Arrange for demonstrations from developers to test product functionality
3. Push for a result-oriented approach for teams to deliver results that drive faster towards the end objective to minimize the bugs and glitches during development
4. Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality for the chapter leads and product owners.
5. Work effectively to define testable user stories, especially acceptance criteria, with customer representatives and stakeholders to align expectations and delivery deadlines
6. Ensure proper use of testing tools by the team to ensure continuous testing
7. Collaborate within the team, working in pairs with programmers and other team members.
8. Help address functionality, performance, or security issues.
