In this senior role, you will drive QA excellence by planning, prioritizing, and developing innovative QA processes. You will lead testing initiatives, design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing methodologies and test plans, identify and solve defects, and recommend effective solutions to enhance software quality. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Software Managers, Product Managers, Owners, and the broader software team, while also mentoring and developing the skills of fellow Software QA Analysts. Responsibilities

• Architecture Design: Review customer requirements, system architecture design and internal system requirements to deliver a high-quality, scalable product.
• Test Planning: Review product specifications for acceptance criteria, determine the test approach, define test specifications for integration, and maintain documentation for test plans and procedures. Establish testing efforts, assess risks, and setting up infrastructure for EPIC stories, tasks, and defects. Evaluate requirements and stories for testability and clarity
• Documentation and Execution: Design, develop, and execute test cases on isolated and integrated sonar systems; support QA Analysts, collaborate with product teams, and provide feedback; conduct performance testing to ensure applications meet benchmarks, including functional, regression, performance, and UAT.
• System Management: Manage test environment creation and maintenance, coordinate testing efforts.
• Defect Management: Set quality standards, track and resolve defects, report test results, and collaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve functionality issues, utilizing root cause analysis.
• Customer Acceptance Readiness: Prepare and support customer acceptance processes.
• Leadership/Mentorship: Guide QA team, mentor QA Analysts and developers, coordinate QA resources, and apply career knowledge to foster team progression and growth.
• Continuous Improvement: "Identify improvements in product development and QA processes, provide feedback, and stay current with industry trends. Understand domain areas like underwater acoustics, signal processing, data visualization, and human factors engineering. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review processes, brainstorm effective teamwork strategies, and eliminate non-value add tasks to enhance GTI Software Solutions

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum five (5) years software development, quality assurance or testing.
• Experience defining functional test specifications, test execution and reporting.
• Experience with implementing automated tests and tools, preferably Cucumber, Behave, and Selenium Webdriver.
• Proficiency in testing languages and project tracking applications, including Java, Python and C++ and Linux/Unix, code reviews. JIRA.
