Job Overview
Chiselon Technologies Pvt Ltd seeks a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing with solid understanding of quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in Docker (Mandatory skill) with practical experience in containerization in testing environments.
- Strong experience with TestNG (Mandatory skill) for designing and executing test cases in Java environments.
- Expertise in Cucumber (Mandatory skill) for behavior-driven development and automated acceptance testing.
- Thorough knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in software testing processes.
- Skilled in various scripting languages for test automation and process improvement.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset for identifying software defects.
- Familiarity with Testrail or similar test management tools for tracking and reporting testing activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for software releases ensuring software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to comprehend product modifications and diagnose any issues.
- Implement testing procedures for new software features and conduct regression testing for existing systems.
- Utilize automation tools to streamline testing processes and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using established defect tracking processes.
- Participate in peer reviews of test plans, specifications, and results to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement practices by suggesting enhancements to test methodologies and tools.
- Prepare and present testing reports and summaries to stakeholders, communicating quality metrics and problem areas.
