Position overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore(IN) for validating and enhancing our spatialSUITE products quality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing of products and as well as automation tools development along with handling integration / release / deployment activities. They will contribute to the full software development life cycle, embracing the challenge of working in our world-class Geographical Information System (GIS) applications

Responsibilities 

• Primarily involve in testing and automation of spatialSUITE products and services [i.e SNET customization, STORM API customizations, spatialOFFICE, spatialINSIGHT etc]
• Analyse the customer issues and arrive at robust test solutions
• Partner with the Development and Services teams to ensure that customization and configuration scenarios in customer production environments are modelled in tests.
• Influence your peers as well as senior leadership to adopt new ideas and/or approaches to increase efficiency and productivity thereby enhancing the product’s quality.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in verification and automation of engineering products.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, strategies and frameworks development pertaining to engineering applications (Desktop and Web)
  • Decent skills in Java/Python, Selenium, ETL testing/DB testing, UI/UX automation, API automation and performance testing.
  • Good exposure to tools such as Robot Framework, ReadyAPI, RestAssured, TestNG, JUnit, Maven , Cucumber, Jenkins, CI/CD, GIT etc
  • Solid understanding of spatial databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).

 Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

 Good to have skills

• Experience in GIS applications and tools such as AutoCAD, BricsCAD.
• Knowledge of microservices and DevOPS
• Certification in any automation tools and/or QA methodologies.
