Position Overview
Title: Manual Software Tester (QA)
Role Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Software Tester to enhance our QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting manual testing of software applications to ensure compliance with specified quality standards. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to identify issues and guarantee the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Case Development & Execution:
- Create, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on software requirements and specifications, ensuring thorough coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
- Functional & Regression Testing:
- Conduct functional testing to confirm that the application operates as intended, and perform regression testing to ensure that recent changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Bug Identification & Tracking:
- Detect, document, and monitor bugs and defects throughout the testing lifecycle, providing clear and actionable bug reports that include reproduction steps, screenshots, and requisite details.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, promptly report issues, and facilitate swift resolutions. Engage in sprint planning, reviews, and other collaborative activities.
- Verification & Re-Testing:
- Confirm bug fixes and conduct re-testing to validate that issues have been adequately resolved without introducing new problems.
- Test Documentation:
- Produce and maintain test documentation, including detailed test cases, test plans, and reports that provide insights into software quality and project progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in manual software testing.
- In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies such as functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Proficient in designing detailed test cases derived from requirements and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation skills with a keen eye for detail in tracking test cases and issues.
- Familiarity with popular defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).
- Proficient collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams to address issues.
- Stellar communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB Certification:
- An ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification would be a beneficial asset.
- Ethical AI Understanding:
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and responsible testing approaches is a significant plus.
- Cloud & AI Testing Background:
- Experience in testing AI-enabled applications or working with cloud-based ML/AI platforms would be advantageous.
