Job Title: Software Tester - Manual (QA)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software applications manually to ensure they meet the required quality standards. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Case Design & Execution:
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases based on software requirements and specifications. Ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing scenarios.
- Functional & Regression Testing:
- Perform functional testing to verify that the application behaves as expected. Conduct regression testing to ensure that new updates do not negatively impact existing features.
- Issue Identification & Tracking:
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects throughout the testing cycle. Provide clear and concise bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and other necessary details.
- Collaboration with Development Teams:
- Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand the requirements, raise issues promptly, and ensure timely resolution. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and other collaborative activities.
- Verification & Re-Testing:
- Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to confirm that issues have been resolved. Ensure fixes meet the desired outcome and do not introduce new defects.
- Test Documentation:
- Create and maintain test documentation including detailed test cases, test plans, and test reports. Provide insights into software quality and progress through clear and organized reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Ability to design detailed test cases based on requirements and specifications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail in tracking test cases and issues.
- Familiarity with common defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Added Advantage:
- ISTQB Certification:
- A certification in ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) will be considered a plus.
- Ethical AI Knowledge:
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and responsible AI testing practices is a strong advantage.
- Cloud & AI Testing Experience:
- Experience working with cloud-based ML/AI platforms or testing AI-powered applications will be a plus.
