QA Analyst
Job Description

Labcorp is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Analyst to join our team. As a Senior QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our software systems and applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve defects, ensuring that Labcorp’s technology solutions deliver exceptional performance and meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple platforms.
  • Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, QTP, or other relevant testing frameworks.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems such as Jira, ensuring that all defects are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage for all aspects of the application.
  • Performance Testing: Perform performance, load, and stress testing to ensure applications meet high performance and scalability requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and standards.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and results, ensuring clear traceability and compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze and report on risks related to product quality and help prioritize testing activities based on risk assessment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all testing efforts align with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HIPAA) and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on manual and automated testing in software development environments.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or QTP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Experience with database testing and writing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare or life sciences industries.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • ISTQB certification or other relevant QA certifications.
  • Current or previous Labcorp experience preferred

Pay range: 80,000-98,654
