About Role

We are looking for a senior tester to help define and execute test cycles to support regular software releases. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with test methodologies and test management principles. This role collaborates closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to develop a world class user experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify functional, performance, or usability issues on the website through manual testing techniques while adopting automation tools when necessary
  • Maintain a record of test results, including test logs, screenshots, and videos
  • Clearly communicate test results, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers and Product Managers to plan and execute test cases in Sprints.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Demos, Estimation, Backlog Refinement etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably on high traffic ecommerce or digital marketplace websites
  • Experience with testing web applications across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices for compatibility and consistent user experience
  • Familiarity with test management and backlog management services like TestMo and Jira
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate testing progress and results.
  • A proactive approach to take ownership of tasks and deliver results within set timelines.
  • Experience testing in cloud environment like AWS or Azure. AWS is preferred
  • Understanding of basic database concepts and able to query RDBMS and NoSQL databases

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with GitHub or other Git based source control systems
  • Prior experience testing in CI/CD based deployment processes.
