Test Engineer

Location:

Our Dispatch team is looking for a Test Engineer to join the U-Haul family. We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled person. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through meticulous testing, identifying bugs, and collaborating with the development team to deliver seamless user experiences. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards our users expect from our products.

The person in this position must:

• Have a background with these technologies:
  • SQL
  • Azure Devops
  • WCF Service
  • Rest APIs
• Preferably possess knowledge of these technologies:
  • Kibana
  • Dynatrace
• Possess strong communication skills
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications
• Identify, document, and track software defects using in-house tools
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Communicate complex technical problems in a manner non-technical people can understand
• Coordinate with QA, Ops and other Development Teams effectively
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. employment authorization for this position
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and development efficiency

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology OR 4-5 years of experience in QA Testing
